Unlike your buddy who "would like to try beekeeping, so I can swing by and pick them up for free". We have over 10 years of experience rescuing hives. We recommend finding a service that charges because this ensures we or they can afford to do it right and rescuing a hive goes far beyond picking them up from your house. They need relocated, cared for, and supplemented- which takes time, energy and money.
